FAQs
How is this different from a $30 Amazon woobie or standard poncho liner?
Three upgrades: 1) Pad-Lock Sleeve — standard woobies don't have it. 2) Integrated stowable pillowcase. 3) Larger cut for guys up to 6'4" and attachment points to rig it as a shelter. Plus mil-spec ripstop, not cheap nylon. It's the woobie re-engineered as a sleep system.
Is it really warmer than a regular woobie?
Yes. Our customers regularly report comfortable sleep at 40-ish degrees with just a pad. The Lite Sleeper uses tighter mil-spec ripstop and a pad-lock sleeve that traps heat instead of letting drafts in. Add a base layer or poncho over it and you can push it lower. As Mixon said: "This thing is warmer than I expected, and it's like 40-ish degrees. It's amazing!"
Is it waterproof?
Water-resistant, not fully waterproof. The mil-spec ripstop sheds light rain and dew. For heavy rain, use the attachment points to rig your poncho over it as a waterproof shelter — that's how it was designed to be used. One system, multiple modes.
I'm 6'2" / 6'4" — will it actually fit me?
Yes, we built it for taller guys. The Lite Sleeper is cut larger than a standard issue poncho liner and fits hikers up to 6'4" and pads up to 82" long. From a customer: "It's bigger than a standard poncho liner and gives taller people a chance to stretch out. Worth it!" — b.e.doster
How small does it pack? How much does it weigh?
Lite Sleeper alone: 2.1 lbs, packs to 12" x 7" — a little bigger than a Nalgene bottle. Complete Sleep System bundle (Lite Sleeper + Pad + Pillow): just under 4 lbs total. Packs light, sleeps comfortable.
Can I use it in a hammock?
Built for it. The Lite Sleeper works as a top quilt, blanket, or hammock liner. The pad sleeve keeps your pad centered in the hammock, and the stowable pillowcase means you don't need to bring a separate pillow.
What sleeping pad does it fit? Will it fit my pad?
Yes. The Pad-Lock Sleeve fits virtually any ultralight pad up to 25" wide x 82" long — including Therm-a-Rest, Klymit, NEMO, and our own Ultralight Pad. The sleeve keeps your pad locked in place all night so you stop sliding off at 2am.
